Day Trip: Medley Creek

That's my beautiful wife and my youngest daughter by the Medley Creek sign (you can tell which is which I hope.) (Hint: The one in the middle is the sign). It's an odd sign, really, because, for one, it's a really small road far removed from any main travel corridor. Plus, there are several creeks in the area, and it's not even close to being the main waterway. Yet, it's the only one for miles around that is privileged enough to get a sign. Perhaps it should have been called Brown Noser Creek?
Anyway, a few years ago, I saw a bighorn ram near Medley Creek. He was no baby either. This was a full grown, full curl, bighorn ram. It was an incredible sight. I didn't even know there were any bighorns living in the area. Unfortunately, at the time I didn't have my digital camera. In fact, I didn't own a camera at all. What a terrible time that was! No camera! Yeesh! How did I ever survive? (Yes, cameras were invented! I'm not that old! I just didn't have one yet, OK? Well, I did, but it left with the ex-wife. A small sacrifice considering all the problems that also left with the ex-wife, I assure you.)
Anyway, this year I got the urge to go back to the area and see if I could find any bighorns once again. I wish I could tell you I was successful in that venture, but I was not. We didn't find any bighorns.
However, as usual, there were plenty of great sights to see and we have a fun day. Here are some of the most interesting sights and landscapes of the day.
